The Caíco Foundation inaugurated Wakeup & Smile at the Hospital Universitario Niño Jesús in Madrid by Dr. Luis Madero, Head of Onco-Hematology.

In collaboration with the psycho-oncology team at the Caíco Foundation, WakeUp & Smile improved the hospital experience for many children in the wards of the Day Hospital who are undergoing treatment for various diseases and disorders.

We offer virtual visits to museums, walks through different cities, and experiences in farm schools. WakeUp & Smile has provided these children with an opportunity to be engaged in fun while distracted away from fear and pain while learning educational content during the hardest moments of their hospital stay!

This is an additional support service in hospitals to assist health personnel in the use of the VR devices, to ensure proper use and sanitation of the equipment.
Care+ is a team of qualified psychologists and nurses in charge of:

• Weekly meeting with the health staff.
• Contact with patients authorised by the Healthcare Personnel.
• Identification of the contents of greatest interest for each type of patient.
• Supervision of the patient during the VR experience
